







Teenage beauty Shwetha Basu Prasad was born on January 11, 1991 in Jamshedpur, Jharkand and moved to Mumbai when she was a child. Her mother’s ancestry stretches to West Bengal, thus she can read and write Bengali. Her dad is from Uttar Pradesh and later moved to Delhi and he has a strong background in the Theatre.
Prasad started her career as a child actress in 2002 at the age of 11. She acted in dual role as Chunni and Munni in her debut film Makdee and got National Award for The Best Child Artiste for the same.
In 2005, she acted in ‘Iqbal’. In 2006 she acted in Ram Gopal Varma's ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’ as Ashu. Shwetha Basu Prasad debuted in Tollywood as a heroine with film ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’ opposite Varun Sandesh. Currently, she is acting in the ‘Ride’ opposite Nani, Tanish and Aksha. She is also acting in director G.Nageshwara Reddy's untitled film. This teenybopper wants only glamorous roles.
